We are 101

Welcome to Troop 101 and let us tell you a little bit about ourselves. Our Troop was founded in 1925 and has always been deep to our roots and values. For a long time, we have been giving back to the City of Waterville. We have a Troop full of great boys who are hard working and dedicated. We offer many campouts to go on including a week at summer camp at Pioneer Scout Reservation, a canoe trip on the Manistee River at Smithville Landing, Put-in-Bay, Winter Weekends, Camp Alaska, and Spring and Fall Camporees. We average about 20 boys for each campout out of our 50 plus boys enrolled in our Troop. Feel free to attend our meetings which you will find more information about in the contact us selection.

Waterville's Troop 101 is an active, dedicated, and hardworking troop in Swan Creek District and Erie Shores Council. We do everything we can to help scouts achieve their potential in life by assisting them in gaining life skills. Responsibility, time management, respect, and camping skills are all taught and encouraged. Everyone has a chance to join us. At the present, we have around 50 active scouts and 20 active parents and leaders. Everyone also is allowed to join our leadership ranks, as long as they meet the BSA requirements and are elected by their fellow scouts.

The troop participates in many activities. Every Monday, except on holidays, there is a troop meeting at the Waterville United Methodist Church. Also, every summer we go to Pioneer Scout Reservation for a week and a small group of scouts go all the way to Philmont in New Mexico for 2 weeks. We participate in various other activities, such as the district's seasonal camporees. Along with those, we have our own camp outs like patrol camp outs in November and a Winter Weekend with a Thanksgiving feast early in December. The scouts almost always participate in service projects during these camp outs.
