Building leadership, community, and adventure through scouting
Welcome to Waterville Troop 101
Waterville Troop 101 is dedicated to providing youth ages 11-17 with opportunities to develop leadership skills, experience outdoor adventure, and contribute to the community. Our troop is part of Scouting America and upholds the traditions and values of the Scout Oath and Law in all activities.
We believe in the power of youth-led experiences. Scouts in our troop take the lead in planning and executing events, learning responsibility, teamwork, and confidence that extends beyond scouting.
Outdoor adventure is at the heart of our program, offering activities such as camping, hiking, and skill-building challenges. These experiences foster resilience, problem-solving, and a lifelong appreciation for nature.
Community service is a core value at Troop 101. Through service projects, scouts give back to Waterville and learn the importance of helping others. Our commitment to service strengthens both our scouts and the communities we serve.
Our History and Community Impact
Waterville Troop 101 has been an active part of the local community for decades, fostering leadership, character, and outdoor skills among youth ages 11-17. Established with a commitment to the principles of the Scout Law and Oath, the troop has continuously evolved to meet the needs of its members and the surrounding area.
Major milestones in the troop’s history include organizing annual campouts, participating in regional and national scouting events, and launching service projects that benefit schools, parks, and local organizations. These activities have helped scouts develop confidence, teamwork, and a strong sense of civic responsibility.
Through its ongoing engagement, Troop 101 has made a lasting impact on the personal growth of its scouts and contributed meaningfully to community well-being. The troop remains dedicated to providing youth with opportunities for adventure, learning, and service, preparing them to be leaders both within scouting and beyond.
